Cirque du Soleil

Finally I will have the opportunity to watch a live "Cirque du Soleil" show very soon.

I was aware of this very well known company and their highly rated shows. However, my personal interest has increased dramatically when I started to deal with the "Blue Ocean Strategy" from W.Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne.

This is one of most used innovation strategies in the world and one of the key examples of the book is based on this company. It is about how they've sailed out from a red ocean of circus with a bloody competition and minimized profits. I have read and saw online many things about them and now I cannot wait to watch live one of their shows!

Let me give you some information about them; The Montreal, Canada based company started with a group of 20 street performers at its beginnings in 1984 and now, Cirque du Soleil is a major Quebec-based organization providing high-quality artistic entertainment. The company has more than 4,000 employees from over 40 different countries, including 1,000 artists.

They declare Cirque du Soleil’s mission is to invoke the imagination, provoke the senses and evoke the emotions of people around the world.

And finally, in two weeks from now, I will be in Las Vegas and trying to choose one of these seven outstanding shows. The reviews and comments I have been reading so far are leading me to Mystere at Treasure Island. However, it is still a very close call between Mystere and O.

So, any feedback and comment from anyone would be appreciated. Cheers.
